Messi's Lovelife
Now, Lionel Messi have a girlfriend. Her name is Antonella, she has 22 years old, she study nutrition and she is the daughter of a supermarket businessman, friend of the family of Lionel Messi. He knew her in his hometown, Rosario, Argentine.
The relationships of Lionel had been unknown, because he never had made public any formal relationship, except for his current girlfriend. The news was confirmed when he was seen in the center of Barcelona with his girlfriend, that included the presence of his brother Rodrigo, his nephews Agustín and Tomás and his mother Celia.The relationship between Lionel and Antonella is fairly recent, because the romance began in December 2008, when Messi went to his country, Argentine to spend the New Year celebrations with his family. After this first meeting, Messi returned to Spain to play in Barcelona and in late January, he accepted in a television program that he had a girlfriend. Lionel Andrés Messi is a soccer player; he was born on June 24, 1987 in Rosario, Santa Fe Province, Argentina. He has dual Argentine-Spanish. Messi plays winger or right midfielder in the FC Barcelona, of the Spanish First Division and the Argentinian national soccer team. In 2007, he finished second of the vote in the FIFA World Player and third in the election of the Golden Ball in 2008, he won the gold medal with his selection in O.G Beijing 2008, this time being in 2nd place in the choice of ball Gold and the FIFA World Player. Is considered the successor of Maradona, and many persons thinks as the best player in the world today.

His Beginning in Argentina

With just five years, Lionel Messi took his first steps in Grandoli, a club that was near his neighborhood.
Two years later, he began to train in the lower divisions of Newell's Old Boys, where he played until 2000. At the age of 11, he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, and River Plate showed interest in Messi's progress, but didn't have enough money to pay for the treatment of the illness that cost $1500 a month.

After his participation in World U-20, José Pekerman called him to the Argentinian national team. He made his debut on August 17, 2005 against Hungary at 18 years and 54 days. In this match he went on the field in 63 minutes and he played only 47 seconds, because was expelled from the game.

One year later, Messi played the World Cup of 2006 with Argentina, after overcoming an injury that suffered since March. He debuted in the World Cup in the second match, against Serbia and Montenegro. He entered the game in minute 73 and scored one goal at 88 minutes, becoming the sixth youngest player to score a goal in the history of World Cups.


Also, Lionel Messi participated with the Argentinian national team in the Copa America 2007, and he was elected the best young player in the competition.
Messi also played in the Olympic Games of 2008. The Catalan club made objections to letting go him, but finally AFA and FC Barcelona reached an agreement to Messi’s presence with his selection in Beijing
Lionel had an excellent participation in the Olympics, since scored two goals in the competition and his presence was decisive in the final on August 23, 2005, when Argentina beat Nigeria 1-0.
